CHOCOLATE CHICKEN TENDERS
by Little Freak Girl
EDITOR'S NOTE: A recipe from
my very own stinky little sister. And it's about damn time, cause
she's a good cook. Like many of the recipes on this page, this one
sounds scary, but is tasty and good.
INGREDIENTS:
-
1 cup of flour
-
1 packet of Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix (I
suppose you could substitute other hot chocolate if you wanted)
-
1/2 to 1 tsp. of salt (depending on amount
of chicken)
-
a couple shakes of pepper
-
two eggs (beaten)
-
a little bit of vegetable oil (probably half
a cup or something)
-
1 package of 7-10 chicken tenders (preferrably
tenders, hence the name, however, it does work with other chicken parts)
PROCEDURE:
Thoroughly mix flour, Swiss Miss, and
the salt and pepper together.
Let tenders sit in the beaten eggs for
about five minutes (or however long it takes you to mix the pre-batter).
From the egg bath, roll the chicken in
the pre-batter mix, making sure all of it is covered completely.
Do not be discouraged by it's darker, doody-looking
appearance. Just keep going.
Place freshly coated tenders into the frying
pan over medium-ish heat. Cook roughly ten minutes, turning chicken
over after about five minutes.
Note: Salt is critical.
The whole point of this recipe is for you to taste the salt of the chicken
and the sweet of the cocoa at the same time. Flubbing any of this
up ruins the recipe and makes you look bad cause you can't follow simple
directions.
**goes well with my sliced, baked, cheesy
potatoes.
Serves: 2-3
